We are very proud of our new paper on “Simulations of SPERT-IV D12/15 transient experiments using the system code THERMO-T”, published today in Progress in Nuclear Energy https://authors.elsevier.com/c/1XQ9cXx6ZHmKN .
Basically, we analyze part of the SPERT-IV series of experiments, which was performed during the 60’s and pushed the safety limits to the extreme, culminating in blowing-up the reactor. Cool stuff.
